Whenever I buy something that also has Chinese on the packaging, I can't help but try and translate it. Today I bought a fold-up pocket shopping bag, it's English name is "Mini Shopper" and the Chinese name on it is 迷你型购物袋.
Which breaks down to:
迷你 [mí nĭ] - a transliteration of mini
型 [xíng] - type or model
购物 [gòu wù] - shopping
袋 [dài] - bag
So literally mini type shopping bag.
