iTunes Downloading Problems Thread

June 01, 2008, 12:52 AM posted in General DiscussionThought I'd start this thread because there are 140 PDFs sitting in my "downloads" area of my iTunes just taunting me with "stopped (err = 404)" ! These are DA and QW pdfs which I would LOVE to have, but, oh the cruelty! They just sit there glaring and tempting me no matter how many times I click "Resume All." Help!

June 01, 2008, 03:12 AMFor me, it isn't PDF files that iTunes seems to think I can't download but a couple of hundred mp3 lesson reviews from lessons posted around mid 2006 and before. When I checked the website, all those lessons have a 0mb mp3 lesson review listed as being available.
I don't think the lesson reviews started until sometime later. At first, I wondered if the busy people at Chinesepod were doing an enormous amount of work providing reviews for all past lessons. Now, I think it may be a glitch in the website programming.

June 02, 2008, 03:06 PMI still have those PDFs sitting there; still 147 of them. Yikes! They are for traditional DA, QW, MM and even News and Features. Allanhall, I also have a few lesson review mp3s. If there aren't supposed to be any of these Extras shows pdfs, I'd love to not keep reloading them everytime I hit "resume." There isn't a choice to de-select them in the personal feed "settings" area.

Have your tried unsubscribing and re-subscribing in iTunes? Check your feed settings to make sure your personal feed URL has not changed.

June 01, 2008, 02:16 AMI don't think there are PDFs for Dear Amber and Qing Wen. At one point I remember seeing links for them on the lesson page but they led to nowhere (error: 404 file not found). So I think they appeared in your feed as an error. A PDF for each Qing Wen episode would be great though.
