Downloading Lessons

July 09, 2008, 10:49 AM posted in General DiscussionHey, sorry to bother everyone. I've been listening to the newbie lessons on my ipod and thought they were heads and shoulders above any of the other Chinese podcasts, so I thought I'd go back and get all of the original newbie lessons.
I signed up and they are just as good as I'd hoped, but I'm having trouble getting them from the site into itunes for repeated listenings. The icons at the botttom of the media bar don't seem to work, and there are only the most recent lessons available on itunes. Does anyone know how I can do this, or are only the most recent lessons allowed to be downloaded?
Thanks in advance for any help that can be offered, and if any of the Chinesepod team read this, thanks for creating such a brilliant teaching device (You guys rule, Ken and Jenny)!

July 11, 2008, 12:35 PMHmmm, I've been doing the whole right clicking method advised here http://www.chinesepod.com/help/technical#5
The whole right click thing only seems to work on some of them, for example, I have dowloaded 2 and 6, but when I try 1 or 3 it just downloads a text page. Most confusing. I'm guessing you're right pinkjeans and some changes within the site have rended the link useless, it will proabably just have to be done once more, but who knows when anone will get a chance to do that. Oh well, I'll just have to listen on my comp, and enjoy 2 and 6 when I'm out and about.
Cheers for your help.

July 17, 2008, 02:17 AMHi Surells
When you save target as - add .mp3 on the end of the file name.
For example
chinesepod_N0004pb
You add .mp3 at the end of the file name, so become
chinesepod_N0004pb.mp3
then click save
We had this problems with the older lessons and we apology for that. Let me know if you still have problems with it.

My thinking is that CP should fix such quality issues first before adding new "toys" like groups, ajax stuff, etc.
Not everybody is a computer geek and knows how trick the download.

July 09, 2008, 11:31 AMI have the same problem trying to access older lessons and I have written emails in. Adi says she has forwarded the problem to the production manager. I also posted something on this in the Inner Circle group but I don't think I got a response yet. At the moment the new lessons are keeping me occupied enough, but when the level gets too difficult (like Advanced and Media), I use my usual CPod time to get to old lessons. It's just such a pain navigating through.
