Flashcards: Vocab with multiple tags asked multiple times...

Minor bug...

I started using tagging more intensively and added new tags to the vocab. Most entries now have 2 or even more tags. Woks fine.

But when I choose to do the Flashcards with "all vocab" instead of questioning 260 entries it asks for 602 answers. Every word is asked as often as there are tags for it. So if 别提 is tagged with "3, function word, discussion" it will appear 3 times in the "all vocab" flashcards.

Henning, how do you navigate within your vocab? I feel pretty bothered with my 500+ words in it, because when I add new words it directs me to the beginning and I would have to click on page 10, 15, 20, 25, 27 in order to really access those latest words for tagging. Is there a more convenient way???

Henning, let me look into that for you. :-) Cornelia, You made a valid point. Navigation through the vocab section from the lesson page is still a bit cumbersome. I will bring this issue up with the team.

Cornelia, I navigate using the tags. If you click on "vocab w/o tags" you have the desired selection. Although I agree that it would be nice to have additional sort, search and "bulk modify" features. E.g. I give all new vocab a "batch number" to be able to distinguish old from new vocab. It would make life easier if I could select all untagged vocab and apply the batch number at once with a single action.

Eileen, navigation within the vocab session is inconvenient, if you have a big bunch of untagged words or identically tagged words. I simply miss a "last"/"first" button for navigation. This should not spoil the overall clean impression of the site, but remedy the navigation issue.

I think the vocab section needs a bit more discussion to find out how people are making the most of it. I've taken to tagging words when I can think of appropriate tag. But I also tag each word with the lesson number. When looking for a reasonable number of words to study (with flashcards) it seems as if individual lessons are about right. If I were to use tags alone, it would be hard to break them up into reasonable sized study sessions. When exporting I can't find away to avoid duplicates. This results in a problem similar to that highlighted by Henning.
