伊拉克库尔德地区官员向法新社透露，土耳其军机在周六深夜与周日凌晨轰炸了伊拉克北部的一些村庄，这些村庄住着土耳其库尔德武装分子，目前还不清楚轰炸活动造成的死亡人数。
土耳其军队早就计划越过边界，围剿在伊拉克库尔德地区的库尔德工党成员。初步消息显示，土耳其军队出动了八架军机，主要轰炸了边界附近的帕夏山村。土耳其军队随后在其网站上发表文章，确认他们对伊拉克北部地区的空袭。
