Small but truly useful words

Hi blueblue蓝蓝天sky, Your list is the upper crust of small words! I'd like to help you with conjunctions (词连). I've omitted both 口语 and the really posh 书面语... and yet it's weighty! Sorry for the adverbs, and the other little big words :) (词连) [虽然 ... , 但是 / 可是 ... ] = (although..., (yet)...); + 即便 jí biàn - 即使 jí shǐ = "even if..."; + 除非 ... 否则 ... = "if ( ...doesn't happen), (then) ...will happen; + 不论 / 不管 / 无论 ..., 都/也 ... = Whatever (...) / (...) as it may, (however)... ; + 但是 = 然而 (不过 is "but" but closer to "however", "and yet") ((词连) 甚至 = 以至 (until, up to the point that...) 从而 = thus, hence(forth)... 因为 ... , 所以 ... = 由于 ... , 因此 ... (it's better if you use only one term of each construction) 以便 (in order to) // 以免 yǐ miǎn / 免得 miǎn de / 省得 shěng de = "(in order) to avoid" 并且 (moreover) = 况且 kuàng qiě (besides) 何况 hékuàng = "especially since/ all the more (because)" (((词连) 既 ... , 又 ... // 既不 ..., 又不 ... (neither..., nor...) 连 ..., 带... + (动) = (...) & (...) (al)together + (verb) 只要 ..., 就 ... = "(...) is enough to (...)", "just (...) and (then) (...) // 只有 ..., 才 ... = "it's only by/with (...) that you('ll) (...) 与其 yǔ qí ..., 宁可 nìng kě ... = rather/sooner... than... // 宁可 ..., 也要 ... = rather/better..., in order to... (also 宁肯 nìng kěn / 宁愿 nìng yuàn) ((((词连) 如果 = 要是 = 假如 jiǎ rú = 假使 jiǎ shǐ
