I <3 NY and bagels

It's been over two years down in the deep South (by which I mean the suburbs of DC), but I'll always be a New Yorker!  Just had to get that off my chest, thanks :-D

We could use a lesson on bagels. Speaking of which I did NOT appreciate that cheap shot on this native cuisine of ours  "chewing a bagel with cream cheese has a texture like snot smeared onto a worn out shoe sole."  Hmph!  All I can find outside of NY are pieces of bread with holes in them.

LOL I remember that comment very well from that lesson!  Bagels are delicious when made correctly.. and the only correct way is the New York way!  Mmmm.... I have one almost every morning at work.
