Just to cause trouble: aren't there different terms for Buddhist and Daoist temples? According to the "Buddhism and Taoism" lesson, 道觀 (dàoguàn) is the name for Taoist temples. I think Confucian shrines may have a different name again. I have no idea how these names are typically used (and distinguishing one kind from the other is often impossible anyway).

Also, typically if you're naming a temple only the 廟 element remains: for example, "Wind God Temple" is 風神廟 (fēngshén miào).

Causing more trouble, from looking through my Taiwan guidebook... here are some of the temple names in Taipei:

Baoan Temple: 保安宮 (bǎoān gōng)

Confucius Temple: 孔廟 (kǒngmiào)

Longshan Temple: 龍山寺 (lóngshān sì)

National Revolutionary Martyr's Shrine: 忠烈祠 (zhōngliècí)

Qingshui Temple: 清水巖 (qīngshuǐyán)

On pagoda: one of my dictionaries gives 寶塔 (bǎotǎ) and 浮屠 (fútú). Not sure how accurate they are, but Eiffel Tower is translated as 艾菲尔铁塔 (Aìfēiěr tiětǎ), so there's the same element in there. However, I'm not sure if "pagoda" means all that much in the Chinese context. I think often tower / 大樓 / dàlóu will do.
