I've been living in Beijing now since February and will be here for at least another year. Not a big fan of the pollution here but, other than this, a like the city. It's my first time really living in a city as well.
Studying Chinese at Tsinghua University and will stay here for another semester or two. Starting to make contacts in the Chinese medical field now which is a good start for me as I came here to further my studies.

November 16, 2008, 04:51 AMI just moved to Beijing in August. Since I am working full time (in an English-speaking environment) it has been challenging to have as much time to learn and practice Mandarin. I am pretty keen though and have progressed.
I am excited to continue my learning and see how far I can get while I am here (which will be 2+ years).
