September 12, 2008, 12:28 PM posted in General DiscussionHello advanced readers! :-)
I had a bad cold in Tibet for some days...and weak lungs from a disease I had in Switzerland before I left to Tibet...
...and so my lungs where x-rayed in the small hospital of a tiny village in West Tibet.
This is my diagnosis from the very kind Dr. Mingmar in Zhada People Hospital.
My translater said: everything is o.k! ... and it was/is...I am fine!
But I have NO chance to read what exactly Dr. Mingmar wrote...
I thought some of you may like the challenge of reading hand written characters... ?

September 12, 2008, 04:31 PMIn the US, most doctor's handwriting is chicken scratch (apologies to the CPod doctors out there...sorry azerdocmom!).
Is it the same for Chinese doctors? I have a difficult enough time reading computer-generated hanzi...the above seems impossible to read, even if you know many hanzi. It almost looks like Arabic to me.

Thanks a lot! Yes, I have a kind of "sharp rip"... well, I would not call it sharp maybe...but knowing my 2 rips the sentence makes sense ;-)!

September 12, 2008, 04:14 PMMy collegue deciphered the following - it even beats 红楼梦 in difficulty:
胸正位片
x-ray-picture of the chest
片示 the picture shows
双肺野清晰
both lungs fields are clear
纹理走行自如
texture (纹理?) is in order
心影形态及大小未见异常
heart size and form are regular
两膈肌完整
the (膈肌 acccording to dict.cn: musculus diaphragm) are complete
两肋隔角锐利
the two rip corners are sharp [???]
余未见异常
the rest was not seen as unusual
