The Recent Cpod Email

January 23, 2009, 11:31 AM posted in General DiscussionI just wanted to say that I really liked the recent email "Useful Phrases for your Chinese New Year Celebrations!"
I enjoyed getting some Chinese New Year phrases right in my mailbox (with hanzi, pinyin, and definition). I think this would be great to do with the lesson emails...maybe give a couple of the important vocab. words or a main phrase from the lesson.
It'd be a good teaser to bring us to that lesson...or if nothing else, a bit of vocab. for when we don't have time to go to the site to study the lesson.
Anyway, just thought it was a nice touch.

January 23, 2009, 09:01 PMChuffed means pleased or delighted. It's pretty uncommon to hear in Australia [except in British immigrants/tourists],but was very common in the UK where I picked up using this word many years ago as I really like the way they use it there.
