Would ChinesePod be in the market to produce a service like japanese101.com ( this website is different than japanesepod101.com).
There seems to be a growing number of elementary schools that are offering Mandarin around the world. I am wondering how the users of Cpod see the value and uses of a web based service at least similar to Japanese101.com.

July 05, 2007, 06:30 AMHi Doc, Looks like you and me are the promoters of children education here at Cpod. I personally did not dig too far into Japanese101.com. I envy your neighborhood. To have a school down the street that stesses bi-lingual education is fantasic. My surroundings are not so enriching. It is a dream of mine to build a school that has pre-school through high school Mandarin. Ideally the pre-school would be full immersion then the grade school would be half day Mandarin and half day English. I am not sure how I would like the middle school and high school to go yet. Concerning Cpod, I see an opportunity for them to get into formal education in some way. Sites like Japanese101 can really help teachers revolutionize the teaching techingues of languages. Doc, I appreciate all your posts. Not once have I read a post by you that wasn't considerate of our community here. I am a bit surprised that this post hasn't gotten touched by Cpod and Cpoddies. :(

July 04, 2007, 06:54 PMHi Man2Toe I browsed japanese101.com and it's ADORABLE! It really, really captures the flavor of how children learn, with music, action, colorful visual stimulation. Oh, wouldn't it be WONDEFUL if CPod came out with something like this specifically for kids. I would DEFINITELY sign my kids ups for something like that. It's really, really adorable! The elementary charter school down the road from my house teaches Mandarin. 讚美聖父聖子聖靈!! Amen!
