三叶草: san1ye4cao3?

I am interested in (the use of) clover (三叶草 san1ye4cao3) in the Chinese kitchen: is there anyone that can tell me a bit more about this vegetable? How do you prepare it? Is it often used in Chinese dishes? I asked 4 Chinese ladies and they did not have a clue. I thought I give it a shot here.
