Is there a big difference between "simplfied" and "traditional" Chinese?

Is there a big difference between "simplfied" and "traditional" Chinese? What is it and how can you tell which form the Hanzi is in?

If you see some really complicated-looking characters that look like 囊 (náng), then you know it's got to be traditional... oh, wait.

yea, right here the mainly used character form is simplyfied

simplyfied character´s are cut out of traditional ones.

The problem with the simplyfied character´s is that they can have several different meanings while the traditional ones only mean one thing (but there can be different trad. signs for the same thing) that´s as far as I know... back to you cpod. this was excuter coming to you live from my home... ääähm...anyway...;-)
