Goulnik pointed out a few inconsistencies in the tags.

If we accept light deviations in the tag semantics anyway: Why not introduce user-based tagging?

Let's see if a Folksonomy works.

I did send an email to ChinesePod pointing to a number of inconsistencies and I'm glad s.o. picks up on it to correct what may appear to be my own inconsistencies : user-based tagging is indeed leading to some such, but because of number and diversity of tags, it doesn't matter so much, and it's the agreed underlying principle. In this case however, I would expect ChinesePod tagging to be closer to a controlled vocabulary. I do understand there would be evolutions in the system, but some basic QC should be at work, e.g. consistency (colors or colours), coherence (get all hanzi from former advanced lessons translated to English now that all tags are produced that way), no typos (e.g. extra spaces in tags) etc. Version 3 brought quite a number of changes and massive workload I'm sure but the review / re-titling might also have included a re-tagging.

goulniky~ What did you mean by "colors or colours"? Did you mean changing the colors of the tabs or throughout ChinesePod, use either the word "color" or "colour"? If it is the tab thing, I think that the colors should stay red to match the theme. ~italiana
