I definitely have horrible Cantonese pronunciation, although I can get by. In both Mandarin and Cantonese Chinese, I always find that I understand what others are saying a lot more than what they understand from my speaking, heh. I've especially realized this since deciding to converse in Cantonese with Malaysian friends--it could just be the dialect, but a lot of times, they have trouble understanding me. (Then again, I've always been terrible at pronoucing "me" in Cantonese, as my parents have not been shy about pointing out.)
