Hi, I live in Taiwan. I'd like to learn more about Ghost month. Can you describe the events that occur during this lunar month?

Hakka Spirit Pigs

Speaking of weird tonight I cycled through a Hakka pig festival in Taiwan. Displays of giant pig butts won ribbons and prizes. I'm talking about displays that make them 10 feet tall. In other displays huge pigs were laid out facing the street so everyone could see the size. Inside huge banquet feasts were happening with lots of wine. Mobile KTV's were set up with neon lights and blaring music. Fireworks and every kind of vender you can think of. Crazy stuff. 

Glad I didn't get hit by a drunk driver. I saw lots of police standing around and no alcohol checks.
