September 25, 2009, 05:59 PM posted in General DiscussionThe Personal RSS Lesson Feed does not contain the last lessons, only future lesson or randomly selected lessons. Why? I find this very inconvinient, as I must download the lessons manually.

No problem! We'd love to make it easier to use and more intuitive, so if you have any ideas for that, please let us know!

6 different complaints from 7 posts - seems as though you are intent on finding any negative you can

I guess I just find it amazing that you found so many issues in your first week of use. (Or is it your first two days?) Most people would barely have found their way around the site in that time.

September 26, 2009, 05:00 PMWhen I first joined CPOD, I also spend a fair bit of time figuring out the RSS feed and trying to figure out how to use it to download old lessons. Finally I realized that RSS is only for new stuff (I hadn't tried an RSS earlier).
maocat's feedback seems legitimate. CPOD is a top notch production. Any flaws, no matter how small, stand out and mar the user experience.

Your personal RSS feed contains whatever you want it to contain. It contains any lessons you bookmark, and if you set it to contain all future lessons, it will.
I'm not clear on the distinction you're making between "last lessons" and "future lessons." You subscribe to future lessons in any channel you choose, and when they come out, they appear in your feed.
We have re-tested Skritter for a trial account and encountered no problems. You just have to enable the functionality. Could you describe the exact problem you're having?

September 25, 2009, 06:13 PMWhy it isn't possible to test the Skritter functionality within a CPOD trial? It does not work.

RSS can be used for old or new content. By default, it will give you new content, but you can uncheck the new content ("future lessons") in your RSS feed settings and add only old content (manually or automatically) if you wish.

ChinesePod, seems there are quite some bugs in this web application.
