November 06, 2009, 03:53 AMhi helen 那么请问一下,no room to move, no wiggle room,是不是 ‘毫无商量的空间、余地’‘毫无出路的余地、空间’?

November 06, 2009, 03:50 PM`room for negotiation` .. exactly, helenshen, miantiao thanks. A possible context might be: People with a long history of safe driving have wiggle room when they're pulled over for speeding. They are much more likely to just get a warning.
我的新 vocab
- 余地: margin, leeway
- 空间: space
- 毫无: not in the least
- 出路: A way out
- 商量: to discuss, consult
Thanks again for taking the time to answer this for me, I appreciate it.

November 06, 2009, 03:47 AMHi there, thanks to Scarlett (our new community advocate), I got to know that it's "可以商量的余地” kěyǐ shāngliang de yúdì or "可以商量的空间” kěyǐ shāngliang de kōngjiān,you can simply say"余地" or "空间".
And maybe that's one possibility, is there a context for it?
