in the expansion exercises for the third jizhou lesson, i noticed this sentence and its translation:

粗心忘记通知
(I was just too careless and forgot to inform you.)

here the chinese says "i forgot to inform him", but the translation says 'i forgot to inform you". i have noticed this difference in other expansion exercises too.  is this a mistake or have is there something i have not learned?

Just a small mistake in the translation. No doubt it will be corrected one day.

Yeah, it looks to just be a slip up in the translation.

Actually, these pronoun mistakes are one of the most common errors we make in the translations. We do have a proof-reading process and try to be as meticulous as possible, but they still get through from time to time. (It seems to happen more with expansion sentences because they are stand alone statements without any real context.)

Sorry about the confusion! We'll change it as soon as we can.
