Help with characters from pdfs in reading program

Hi,

So I use the program NJstar, a reading program that allows me to scroll over charecters and get definitions, pronounciations, etc, once I import the text into it.

The problem is, I can't seem to cut and paste out the characters from the CPod Pdfs - whether into that reading program or just into any word processor.  They end up showing up as meaningless symbols.  My computer is configured to handle chinese, type it, etc, so that isn't the problem.

Does anyone know how this might be fixed?  MY question really isn't specific to my reading program - I just need to be able to cut and past the text from the CPod pdfs.

Thanks,

Tim

Works fine pasting into Microsoft Word and Apple Pages (iWork suite) on PC and Mac respectively.

You might want to look up DimSum Chinese Tools. It has an encoding converter that might help. Of course, it also has its own popup translations, so you could just replace NJstar with that.
