I was just pressing select on my ipod whilst listening to the fix mp3 file for a lesson when all of a sudden a full guide of all the sentences appeared on screen with Hanzi, Pinyin and English!

Wow that is seriously good and helpful. There has been many times on when listening to the review where I have thought "whats that word"....well now I know.

Perhaps my excitement is a bit over the top...but I not seen much mentioned about this before...or maybe I missed it? Us men really should start reading manuals (or help files) before going head first into things!

I just thought I would share that here in case there are others who are on the same level of ignorance as me....

So bill_w

This naturally brings me to ask whether you can start including traditional versions of the scripts on future podcasts (I understand it would be too big an effort to change the existing library.)...perhaps at the bottom of the file? I would have thought that would be just a quick copy, paste, change, copy back, save job... ;)

I see not quite as simple as I thought! Well thanks for looking into it.

I'll look into it. It is a bit harder than some cutting and pasting. From my limited understanding, the information is automatically generated and is packaged along in the RSS info. John explained it to me once and it hurt my brain.

Will check for all you traditionalists out there.

Yup, the "lyrics" are transcribed with the dialogue's pinyin / characters / translation. I suppose it does pay off to read a FAQ from time to time! See here.

Is this an iPod touch that you use?  Do you remember if you pushed a particular icon or something?

I don't know about Anki but I doubt it....I think there are extra apps available for the Nano but I haven't had a look at them to be honest.

wow, I thought I would have to get an iPod Touch to use all the features on Cpod! This is good to know!

Can you use anki on the Nano? (you can probably infer that i'm going to be dragged kicking and screaming to an instruction manual. Plus, isn't the iPod supposed to be INTUITIVE!?!?)

Hi pretzellogic,

I'm using a nano...so I just pressed the big button in the middle a few times.....but If it helps, it might be the same button you use to toggle through things like the star rating...
