I just realized that I will be coming to Shanghai towards the end of the upcoming golden week 十一黄金周 （Shí-Yī huángjīnzhōu）celebrating the National Day 国庆节 (guóqìngjié) on October 1st。
While Oct.1 is the subject of an advanced lesson I'd like to know what will the impact be on Shanghai then. Will oceans of people 人山人海 (rénshānrénhǎi) have come to the city like a swarm of bees 一窝蜂 (yīwōfēng) or be all gone to the Maldives? Will the week-end be more / less crowded than usual, is this going to be tourists peak time (旅游高峰期 lǚyóu gāofēngqī) ?
