October 26, 2009, 06:50 AMhi amanda,
thanks for your messages and your detailed explanation.
i might have been not precise enough concerning my problem, so sorry for asking again. i do have problems with the PINYIN exercises. i copied the related points below. the indicated answer is always either kuiaqian or duoshao qian - and i don't understand this sentence structure. I'd be great if you sent me a simple explanation for this syntax.
thanks

November 11, 2009, 07:05 AMSince Chinesepod have an executive program demo class and I need to give lessons all the Mondays, I can't give you a lesson as the same time. Do you mind having our lessons at the same time one day after which is Tuesday for me. Is it OK? If not, other counselor will be your teacher in the future. I am very sorry for the inconvenience,

October 26, 2009, 03:00 AMhi chinesepod, i started to work with your classes last week, and i'm quite happy to have found it. its a nice and easy way to learn some chinese. i consider myself a student on elementary level, still, i go through some of your newbie stuff as well. this morning i worked through the "i want to buy this". while the dialog is pretty simple, i have problems with the pinyin multiple choice exercises: lesson http://chinesepod.com/lessons/intro-6-i-want-to-buy-this-one/exercises. i don't understand why the right answer with no 1, 3, 4,5 is duoshao and kuaiqian resp. i'd be happy to receive a detailed explanation for this phenomenon.
thanks

hmmmm, i was so looking forward to chat with you about shaokao, jizhua and shengpi.
anyways, is there a chance to talk in the course of this week?
have a nice day

October 26, 2009, 08:34 AMduoshao qian is how much...? (it is a question to ask the price)
eg:pingguo duoshao qian? how much is the apple?
kuai qian is .... RMB, we put the amount of money before kuaiqian. it is like a unit for the money( it is used to answer the price)
eg: zhege 5 kuaiqian. this one is 5 RMB
and you can also ask the shop assistant" ji kuaiqian? which is=duoshao qian?" , ji3 means how much/how many eg: how old are you? ni3 ji3 sui4
and pinyin ones are too much to explain, can we explain on the skype when we have time?
