iFlash Export Problems

September 25, 2007, 11:34 AM posted in General DiscussionI'm trying to export my vocab list for the iFlash flashcard program, but the characters aren't coming out right. I'm using a mac, I don't know if that has anything to do with it. Does anyone know how I can get it to work right? It would be a real pain to have to type in every vocab word I wanted to study... but maybe that would help me remember them better??

October 08, 2007, 02:55 AMHi Greg, Sorry we are late in replying as we many of us were in vacation for the past two weeks. LostinAsia is right, it can be done. The solution to curing your character problem in the file is in the Help page under technical questions > importing and exporting

This link, provided by Eileen a couple of months back, is what got me on the right track: http://forum.chinesepod.com/viewtopic.php?t=1662&highlight=export+flashcards However, I ultimately stopped exporting; I found cutting and pasting from my own html-derived transcripts more efficient (this was because of all the duplicates I kept getting; it was easier to avoid duplicate flashcards if I brought words in one by one). Good luck working it out. Sorry I can't be of more help, but let me assure you that it CAN be done. I just don't really remember how I did it!
