Inserting Links in New Posts

June 06, 2010, 07:50 AM posted in General DiscussionI want to post in Transcripts With Tal. I want to include a link to the relevant lesson in the post. How do we include such a link?
I've done it before, but now there is only an 'Attach File' icon, and no obvious way to insert a link.
Also, when the Transcript gets finished, I would like to go back and edit my original post, and add a link to my transcript. But the Posts page is disappearing on June 15, and apparently there will be no way to edit old posts.
Is this posting system stuffed, or am I just confused?

Thanks for the link - I've just posted. The link showed up fine first time - no need to edit.
Another issue with new posts - The text comes out really small, and carriage-returns do not work. You have to edit and republish to make it display correctly.

You're welcome. Hang on in there, perhaps in time all will work well. (By then of course another redesign in the name of 'progress' will be foisted on us.)

June 07, 2010, 03:11 AMWe're adding the "edit" feature back into the posts. You'll see the familiar pencil icon (same as before) which will allow you to edit your post or un-publish it. As for links I'll investigate this and get back to you.

June 06, 2010, 08:48 AMOh dear, I assume this is the result of the latest tinkering by the techies and 'user experience' improvers.
Well Bob I also assume that if you use HTML that will still work, I often do so myself these days. (It may look wrong when you first post, but if you choose to edit the post and then repost it should be fine after that).
Of course users shouldn't be expected to do that really should they? I am choosing to presume that these issues will be attended to in due course.
