Something that I'm most amazed about in Shanghai is how even the people as a whole are able to change. I've been in college in the States for the past few years, so I haven't been in China except for the summers. Last summer, my friend and I were laughing about how the government is trying to make people stand on the right side of elevators and walk on the left, saying that it will never happen. This year, almost everybody does it. My mind is blown. Another one is that I haven't seen anybody spit on the ground yet, and I've already been back for a month. I used to see people spit ALL the time.

Well, unfortunately, I see people spitting all the time here, at least in Beijing.  It might be fair to say I see less people spitting, but not enough to be noticeable.  But maybe I just want everyone to stop all at once.
