Hello, I am new to the group.  I have been studying Mandarin for some time, using the Pimsleur Series on my Ipod touch.  However this is aural only.

I do have some knowledge of the Chinese writng system, since I can read a bit of Japanese, but only in limited fields.

I am just starting Chinese pod, and I am a bit overwhelmed at the material offered, and do not know where to start.

The directions for loading lessons onto my Ipod seem to assume some knowledge about the course I do not have, so I am not sure how to go about it.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also, It's very easy to have all your lessons and all end up on your ipod or whatever you use.  Just find:  My personal feed - select what you want and then copy it to itunes.
