Does anyone else have problems in the dialogue tab? None of the sound recordings seem to load any more.

Works ok for me in today's lesson.

Argh here too! A byproduct of reverting to Flash player 8 is the exercises don't load now! Several other web pages are requesting me to update to Flash player 9 too.

We're getting a few sporadic reports of this issue. It seems to affect Flash on the newest version of Firefox. Apparently one way to fix it is to install the newest version of the Flash player (which also updates the browser's Flash component). Give it a try: http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/

I'm using Firefox 2.0.0.11 without any problems.

I have these Firefox problems and have posted on it previously. My suspicion was that it was the new version of Flash that was the problem. When a page with recordings comes up the machine goes into a 100% CPU utilisation and will not play the recordings. I have reinstalled the latest flash but to no avail I have 2.0.0.11. It works with IE.

I also have Firefox 2.0.0.11 and have tried reinstalling the latest Firefox Flash plugin and also downloading and installing Flash from the Adobe site directly into Windows Vista. I've also tried disabling all Firefox add-ons. Checked quite a few threads in Mozilla forums but so far no solution though one potential solution I've seen, but not tried yet, is to take the plunge with Firefox 3 beta.

Same problem here, but only with Firefox, IE7 is OK. The recordings seem to load but do not play. Includes dialogue, vocab, expansion and the mini player under the lesson photo.

Hmm, I was using Safari, and using Flash 9 seemed to solve it. On a different note, does everyone have to click "sign in" every time they come to the site? I find that quite annoying.

sebire, if you save your password you shouldn't need to.

Yeah, I do, but I still have to click it each time. I don't have to retype anything, it logs in once I click "sign in".

Argh! Flash player 9 now cuts the podcast off if I go to a different tab in my browser! That's a new and worse glitch!

Maybe a solution. Found this comment at the Mozilla site: Flash files that were created with SwishMAX will not play with Flash Player 9. For a user the only workaround is to install Flash Player 8. A zipped archive of Flash Player 8 installers is available here. Renamed the file npsfw32.dll to xnpsfw32.dll in C:\program files\mozilla firefoz\plugins and installed Flash v8 from here http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=tn_14266&sliceId=1 Seems to have solved the problem for me...for now. Does Cpod use "SwishMax"?
