Did someone leave Qing Wen and Movie Madness behind?

Help!!!

For days now life has seemed so empty... Just as my sentences were finally getting finished and my knowledge of Western cinema was blossoming....

What has happened to those two excellent series that brightened up my week?  Did they get sent to the dog house for their risque use of the English language and/or coffee slurping?

Yikes! It's been a month without Movie Madness! Jenny made a comment in the very last MM (#44) about it coming back this week (or was it last week). She also teased us by saying a new show will be coming out soon. Perhaps they are busy with this new show and that's causing the delay of new MM episodes. Occasionally, Qing Wen skips a week if one of the main cast is not around for some reason. So it should be back this week (<fingers crossed>). O.K. those were my rational explanations. My crazy conspiracy theories are:

  • Hollywood studios found out about Movie Madness and ordered a cease-and-desist if they did not get cut of ChinesePod's revenues.
  • Due to the massive popularity of Qing Wen, the hosts' egos have grown immensely and they are now fighting amongst themselves each proclaiming "I am Qing Wen!".

Yeh I've been missing Qing Wen a little.. I assumed it was all due to the move to the new factory and they are just getting everything sorted out. MM seems to be a topic that the staff are avoiding at the moment. I've seen questions posed as to its return, and whether Amber's limerick contest thing was replacing it etc.. however the questions have yet to be answered. I'm sure they are working on something, whether it be a replacement for MM or just busy with the new show, like boran pointed out.. ..or may be they have all been abducted by aliens!

Let's face it. QW is the spinal column of the lesson content. Those shows are indespensible. No new show can replace it. By the way: Do we already have a winner for MM 44?

I agree with Henning. QW's are focused and do an excellent job of hammering home one simple, useful grammar point. I'm sure it'll be back shortly... still, anyone checked Jizhou?

Tvan, thanks for the tip, I think I missed that lesson. Whoever believed that Jizhou ending anyway? Now I am beginning to see the connection...

All, Moving factories, sick days, and construction all contributed to QW delays (on friday, after nearly an hour of trying to record while hammers and various powertools rattled our studio, we had to throw in the towel) We are back on track, and will continue to produce the regular QW schedule. As for Movie Madness, we have a development in the making. We are going to put MM on hold for the time being to bring you a brand new feature to Cpod. Only problem is, I cant tell you what it is yet... Well, I can tell you that is has been requested on more than one occasion, and you WILL see it by the end of this month.
