Dajia hao!

anybody interested in starting an Architecture/Engineering/Construction related cpod group??

I am currently in this field and would like to meet other people hat would like to talk about it in Chinese....Anything having to do with buildings (new and old), machinary, big walls, bridges, plans, and buidling codes/permits could be possible topics.

That industry is booming in China right now so i think there is plenty to learn about and discuss...let me know.

Adam, this is a great idea!  I'd definitely be interested in this group.

Personally, I'd like learning more about building codes requiring buildings to be earthquake and typhoon resistant.

Adam, I would be interested, too! Especially in architecture of historic buildings!

You dont happen to know this book... I think it is the best one about ancient chinese architecture (and it is HUGE ;)!). A friend from Hongkong recommended it. I used it for my diploma thesis and bought it for our school libary then ...maybe I get one for myself one day. I loved it!

"ZHONG, Yuanzhao; CHEN Yangzheng (Edit.) (1986): History and Development of ancient chinese architecture. Compiled by Institute of the History of Natural Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Science Press, Beijing." (available in Engl. and Chinese)

I would like to study architecture related vocabulary and I am also interested what you have to tell about modern architecture! Go on found this group :-)!
