"仁义礼智 (rén-yì-lǐ-zhì) The four cardinal virtues: humanity; justice; propriety, and wisdom"

But from the characters I don't find the same virtues :

仁 benevolence, compassion
义 justice, righteousness
礼 courtesy, manners
智 wisdom

Where does "propriety" come from ???

Oops sorry, I mixed up the words "propriety" and "property". ;o)

Propriety (plural proprieties)

  1. correctness in behaviour and morals
  2. fitness; the quality of being appropriate
