How do you add the words into your vocabulary in the first place? Audio is only availible for words added through the vocab tab, I believe, not for words added by clicking on them in dialogues or search results, or words added manually.

The vocabulary manager works like so:

On the lesson page, select all the vocabulary words you'd like to save with a check mark in the box, then "save select vocabulary."

After you've chosen the vocab you want, click on the "Me" tab, and open "vocabulary." All of your new words should be there! Now you can use the flashcards. If these are the flashcards that are not playing audio then there must be a technical problem of some kind.

@brendonl What kind of browser are you using? What lesson did the vocabulary you added come from?

catherinem, that question was actually directed at brendonl. The thing is, there are more ways to add words to your vocabulary than through the vocabulary tab at the lessons. And if you use any other method, the words won't have any audio associated with them. Thus no audio when using flashcards.

Thanks.  Shall try the recommended way.  I am using IE8 and Firefox 3.5.5
