just a quick question about 行李
行 meaning walk or travel
李 is a popular surname...
is there anything behind this? is 李 used elsewhere in other words in any similar context?
luckily i'll always remember the character, because of 木子李 (mu4zi5li3) comment by Jenny in a lesson a while ago!

When i have heard 报名 it has been when my teacher was inviting us to sign up for some activity, e.g. to go on a trip or attend a special class.
登记 makes me think of some sort of official registration, i.e. 警察局登记, police registration. 注册 I have come across online, to register for a website as in the context of this lesson. However perhaps these two are quite interchangeable?
