June 24, 2008, 03:12 AM我感觉类似对新老板。我有文凭和留学在中国可是没有丰富经验。至少他有高的职位。In that first sentance I'm trying to express that I feel similiar to the new boss. Did I do that correctly? Often times I think a new perspective is what a company or department needs. As we say in the states "new blood"(maybe said elsewhere to). Without experience its hard to make confident judgment but without cutting edge methods or new knowledge its hard to produce better results.

June 17, 2007, 08:56 PMI've just started a job where I'm dealing with foreign currency on a regular basis, this episode compliments that nicely. Plus I actually would like to start a collection of world currencies. Look forward to seeing more intermediary lesson with use of Chinese currency denominations. Still get a bit confused with the larger denominations. I think a lesson on old Chinese currency would be fascinating. How can a tourist traveling in China be sure that he is looking at real old money instead of something fake? Do Chinese family still hold currency that pre-dates modern banking and the ubiquitous Mao money?

July 03, 2008, 02:51 AMThe lesson mentions China is currently developing a HSK geared more towards Western learners. Any more details on that? Plus, I was curious how much weight HSK carries outside of China. I imagine one would get a blank look from an American employer after gloating about your high HSK score. With the explosion of Chinese studies in puplic school and higher-ed here in the States, I find many of these institution offer their own proficiency exams and certificates.
