August 20, 2012, 06:37 PMSeems nobody is interested to correct such mistakes at ChinesePod...
Do you think your version is correct?
It is NOT.

August 19, 2012, 07:01 AM".... I have relatives and Chinese classmates who are medical doctors in Taiwan ...."
Then your daughter should learn traditional script because otherwise she will be unable to read menus, signs, etc. The move from traditional to simplified is easy, but the move from simplified to traditional is really hard to tackle!

August 18, 2012, 08:11 PMMainlanders are able to recognize traditional characters but often are not able to produce the correct form if there are several nearly identical forms as in the above case. One can this often see in ChinesePod traditional scripts. Every second or third traditional script contains a mistake. :-( And Corrections will not be done.

August 18, 2012, 04:01 PM遊 in 導遊 is correct, 游 is wrong!
A guide is not swimming or playing (⺡ radical, example: 游泳, 游戲),
he is going (⻌ radical, example: 旅遊)!
The problem is that most people in Mainland China don't know these fine differences, as they never learned traditional characters.

August 15, 2012, 07:05 PMSeems you don't agree. Why do you call me a "rascal" for just writing three good and right things about Taiwan?
I find it also crazy that ChinesePod calls Taiwan in their list of countries on the settings page: "Taiwan, Province of China". What a shame!

November 01, 2012, 08:55 AMThe BLCUP books contain a lot of vocabulary that are NOT in the official HSK lists. I prefer the mock tests from PUP (Peking Uni Press), they are much better and contain only the official vocab.
E.g. this one for level 4
