In the expansion sentence 这个周末我要好好整理一下房间 it seems contradictory to have both 好好 and 一下.  Is this normal usage in Chinese?

As usual, I both enjoyed the dialogue and found the structures and vocabulary useful.  If you still had the labelling feature I would file the lesson away in my 'to revise before taking a plane' folder.  Any chance you will be reintroducing labelling?  Or some other method by which we can sort the lessons according to our own criteria?

一条狗?  A dog?  I can understand snakes, earthworms, even fish and dragons, but a dog?  Well, maybe a whippet....  My dictionary gives zhi1 for gou3.  Is zhi1 just for little dogs, then?

Did you really mean 'should be weary'?  or 'should be wary'?  I can just imagine   the laowai sighing wearily 'oh, not tripe again....' :-)

John first translates the sentence 过年以后都这样, as 'After celebrating New Year I am always like this', later he and Jenny (and the dialogue tab) translate it as 'After celebrating New Year everyone is like this'.  Does that mean that, in this sentence, 'dou' can be interpreted either way, as 'always', or 'everyone'?

Another useful lesson, thank you.  If I want to modify the expression bian2 shou2, can I say wo3 bian2 yi1dian3 shou2 or wo3 bian2 shou2 yi1dian3?

In the meantime, there are the intermediate lessons 'Visiting the aquarium' and 'The little tadpoles in search of their mother'.

Very clear and useful presentation, thank you. The sentence他在说什么?(3rd sentence from last)is translated as 'What did he say?' Is this correct? I would have thought that it would be 'What is he saying? or What is he talking about?'
