I have a question concerning ”夸“ in the last sentance of the dialouge. Does 夸 carry any special meaning or connotation? For example, to "flatter" someone is to excessivly praise, and has a slightly negative meaning depending on the circumstances.

昨天我查了一下有一些的糖尿病的词语。词语的意思都从nciku来：
insulin-胰岛素-yi2dao3su4
pancreas-胰腺-yi2xian4
glucose-葡萄糖-pu2tao2tang2
insulin shock-胰島素休克-yi2dao3su4xiu1ke4
blood sugar-血糖-xue4tang2
Thanks for the help! My mother is a type I diabetic. Before, I didn't know how to describe this illness to my Chinese friends. I looked up some other words relating to diabetes on nciku.

August 12, 2009, 02:59 AM大家好，我有一个比较专业的问题。我不知道怎么分别糖尿病的之类。我猜多半的糖尿病的人太胖了，或者是老人。不过我们也有Type 1的糖尿病。这种的糖尿病也叫"juvenile"糖尿病，就是人的基因的问题。我可不可以说“第一种”，和 “第二种”的糖尿病？
我希望至少一个人看得懂我的那么差的汉字 :)

Thanks for the response! I've found that receiving compliments in China is a tricky business. I've been here for a year, and I still feel awkward when (by Western standards) I put on an exaggerated show of false modesty.
