January 10, 2009, 05:36 PMI am so sad to tune into CPod today and see this news about the final Dear Amber. It was a huge part of why I loved tuning into Chinesepod. You always gave us listeners an entertaining and insightful look into China and the Chinese language.
I am missing your program already.
Good Luck in New York. I know you will do well and I hope to find you online, or working in some form of Media soon.
Thank you for so much of what I understand about China.
Best of luck
Gregg

December 23, 2008, 07:32 PMhappy holiday season to everyone. I have enjoyed the dialog over the past months. It is my favorite part of the day reading the CPOD comments.
Thank you to all of you who put so much effort into your discussion.

December 22, 2008, 07:41 PMI have a question about sentatnce structure.
Amber zǎoshang zǒngshì yào hē yī bēi kāfēi
vs.
Wǒ lǎoshì yào bànyè qǐchuáng qù cèsuǒ.
How come in the first example the time of day comes before zongshi (zaoshang) and in the second example the time of day comes after laoshi (banye)?
Is it something about zongshi vs. laoshi?
Thanks
Gregg

December 14, 2008, 03:06 PMI also love QW and find it very useful.
However, seems to me that the format in the studio is to follow a general outline for discussion then ad lib sentance structures using the word or phrase being discussed.
If this is the case, then a transcript can not necessarily be provided until Connie goes through the recording and transcribes the sentances that were used. If this trascript were to be included in the lesson, we would have to wait for the QW lesson while this transcript is prepared.
I do not mind trying to sort these sentances out in my mind first, while I wait for Connie to post the transcript.
It would be helpful however if a PDF could be posted for reference. I often go back to QW lessons and I also have to open the discussion page to scroll down to Connie's transcript. It would be great if QW produced a PDF that can be saved or printed for future reference.
Is there a Chinese phrase that patience will be rewarded? haha
Thanks to the QW team for a great series of lessons.
