Did anyone notice that the PDF's lesson title is "Gong Hei Fat Choi"? is that the same as gong1xi3 fa1cai2 in Cantonese?

Only thing I would suggest is that the show could probably be a bit longer, maybe a little more info on the poet and the time period.

1. Does anyone know if 师傅 is the same as the Cantonese "sifu" that they use in the Hong Kong kung fu movies to refer to the kung fu master?
2. In the sentence 不能在草地上走。I would have thought they would use 可以 instead of 能 because 可以 is more for permission. Could 可以 be used, and if so why was 能 used? (drawing on my understanding of the Qing Wen on 会 and 能)

October 20, 2008, 01:33 AMSo I've heard in several lessons that using 快 in a sentence doesn't necessarily make the tone very urgent or imperative. What if you did want to make the sentence more urgent, like "quick, look!" or something like that. Would you still say 快看看！ or is there a better way of saying this?
