I agree with termis--I think one interpretation of "advanced" is more varied--more regional accents and terminology, plus speaking styles. The idea is to be familiar with and understand different accents, terms and styles more than use them, per se.
At the advanced level, why not choose public domain recordings of people actually talking to each other instead of reading scripts, and then give it a good discussion and vocab glossing. (Personally, the lack of variety in voices and the overacting is 超不入耳, a deal breaker for me--reason to go elsewhere wif me 円, yeh?)
