Hi there,

I find myself often in elevators with people who smoke, or light up to smoke in the elevator.  How could I ask them politely to please wait until they are out of the elevator?

I find the dialogue quite contrary to what is a reality here in Chengdu.  We notice that kids including pre-teens (about 9-12 year olds) don't give up their seats to elderly people.  The kids often seem much more capable of standing, even when the bus stops or swerves quickly, than the older people.  It is very irritating for me to see this.  Maybe Chinesepod could do a lesson on how to suggest to these kids (politely) to give their seats to the elderly...
