April 30, 2011, 06:26 AMI realize this lesson is older..2008, but I was owndering about a comment in the diaglogue. The guy is complimented on how developed his muscles are: "ni de jin rou zhen me fa da - 你的肌肉这么发达"
I tried using this epression in one of my classes and I was informed that the term fada (发达) refers to developing countries and not muscles. It was an actual trainer, so I did not disagree. Any comment?

June 08, 2011, 12:16 AMI know this is an older lesson, but I just listened to it and I was ownderin gif it is out dated. I teach exercises classes in Qingdao, so I tried using some of the lingo....
One of the trainers at the gym told me that fa(1)da(2), 发达 does not apply to muscular developement. He said it is only used for developing nations.
So, my question is thus: What is the appropriate use of 发达?
Thanks
