Also if I don't call a woman my age (30 but I look 20) 小姐 (shaojie) because that's impolite what should I call her? I've asked many people but no one can give me a clear answer.

June 29, 2007, 01:44 AMHi, I'm just reading over your comments about names. People don't use them a lot here. For example, I call all my neigbours "ayi" 阿姨. My neigbours differentiate each other by their appartment numbers i.e. 502 阿姨. But then again, this all old people Chinese...
