October 02, 2007, 01:39 PMlove this site. Great way to expand vocab. My niece just got her lids done. She said that it makes her look more awake - people used to think she was sleepy. The only time I miss not having double lids is the inability to apply eye makeup. No double lids means the eyes are really flat, so no folds to enable one to create definition when using eye shadow. Most Asians who apply eye shadow to their flat eyelids look like Panda bears. Very few can look good with it. As for why use eye shadow...that's another discussion that you guys may not appreciate.

March 02, 2008, 08:54 AMthanks for the tip - Phil and Changye. Great dictionary. The translator tool I use that comes with the Mac is so bad and inaccurate. I'm esp. impressed by the handwriting tool which is a lifesaver - I can see it finally freeing me from the tedious task of looking up characters in my chinese dictionary - my eyes are about to bleed trying to read the miniscule 3 pt. size typeface, to say nothing of the frustration when you can't figure out the bu shou that will lead you to that character.
