January 22, 2008, 03:46 PMDown in Guangzhou, where there are a couple of rugby clubs, I see Chinese guys in Rugby shirts every once in a while but I've never seen an NFL shirt. Could just be a fashion thing, there was a Mandopop video on MTV a while back where the singer played rugby a bit.

November 13, 2007, 04:03 PMre. South Park, you can get the subtitled DVDs, also have found many series dubbed into Cantonese but not Mandarin. South Park is great in Cantonese, the voice over artists really seem to be relishing the dialogue!

September 29, 2007, 03:22 PMi got my impression of 'chi do fu' having a lesbian conotation from some gentle teasing some of my former students gave a female colleauge when we all had dinner together, but they were asking her if she ate 'do fu gan'豆腐干, a barbequed slice of dry dofu, this may have a different conotation.. or i may totally have misinterpreted, anyway, i didn't know it meant groping, so another handy lesson, cheers!
