October 15, 2009, 09:38 AMabout oboes and such: isn't the basson also a kind of shuānghuángguǎn? If so, how are they distinguished?
(xiǎo shuānghuángguǎn vs. dà shuānghuángguǎn, perhaps??)

October 15, 2009, 08:14 AMVery interesting! Though it seems the judges/presentator are making up the rules as they go along, don't they?
My question: what is "to play the oboe" in Chinese? (I do, so I wonder how to tell people :) )
