I was born and raised in Los Angeles, so when I was little, I went to see the Olympic Games that were held in L.A. in 1984. At that time I didn't know who Li3Ning2 was, possibly because I had zero interest in gymnastics. It wasn't until 20 years later I realized Li3Ning2 was not only a great athlete but also an entrepreneur. Very interesting!

My Chinese name is ShāWénqiáng. Some years ago, I watched the TV series "Shanghai Beach" and the main character in the series is XuWenqiang. I think this name has a lot of meaning, plus it seems like every Chinese person knows this name :) "Civilized" and "strong." My last name is Sha because the first four letters of my English surname are Sand.

I think this topic is very interesting. For example, the brand name "Nestle" is translated as "qiǎocháo" or "sparrow nest" because the brand's logo is a sparrow in a nest.
过夏天的时候，我特别喜欢吃雀巢的冰淇淋 ：）
In summer, I especially like to eat those Nestle ice cream cones. :)

October 22, 2011, 11:27 PMHaha, I lived in Dalian for one month and heard that too about Xinghai guangchang, where they hold an annual beer festival among other things. Being a journalist, I am immediately suspicious of any superlative. :)
