the lady says:  nèi ge bāo.

is there any difference ? Please enlighten me

I read about the emperors a lot. There were 157. And just 1 empress: Wu Zetian (690-705)

so "hundreds" is a bit too much.

A year ago I was told in Guilin (Guangxi province)that xiaojie was not appropriate any more to address a young woman as the meaning deteriorated to prostitute (which is the same as hamshank says in a more delicate way)

Not a reaction to artkho, but why are there no PDF's to some lessons ?

I always like to print them out for re-studying later someplace.

During my several stays in China I found out that only two items really matter. 1. Family; 2 Money. Friends came later, even partners are less important then the family. A girl I know well, wanted to marry her bf. He also wanted this marriage. The boys family neglected his and her wish as "She was not Shanghainese but from a little village somewhere in Anhui."
