so 留 can use like this:
把+something+留给+somebody
e.g.我不喜欢吃苹果，把梨子留给我吧。
帮/给+somebody+留+something
e.g.
帮我留个位子。
给我留点苹果，不要吃完了。

有时候一个句子只要一个“了”也可以：
我先去超市把东西买了，然后把车停在家门口，最后睡了个觉。
都是过去式。
But if you just say“我把车停在家门口”,I won't know when did you do this.
